The councilors of the Popular Party of Yaiza, Juan Monzón and Guayo Rodríguez, demand that the government of Oscar Noda "make effective the plenary mandate, adopted at the initiative of the populars in December 2019, so that a safe access is executed for the students who use the bus stop on Avenida de Femés to move to their educational center from Playa Blanca."

The party recalls that "for years a path has been improvised by students and neighbors in general through the garden area that separates the avenue from the pedestrian bridge of the "25 homes" and the ravine." According to Juan Monzón, "this step entails certain risks due to the presence of electrical panels and an embankment with a danger of displacement and without any type of security, so it is very difficult for users with baby carriages or people with reduced mobility to transit."

The populars point out that the motion, which was approved almost two years ago unanimously, had as its sole point "to execute the construction of a pedestrian crossing completely adapted for people with reduced mobility that reaches not only the bridge but also El Puestito street." Likewise, they add, "the need to install lighting throughout the area and take into account the finishes of the project so that they are consistent with the environment was included."

The southern PP affirms that on the morning of this Monday "the mayor" said on his social networks that they continue "because they care about families." "It is curious and shameful to see this slogan after more than a decade in the government and that it is precisely now, at this moment, when families seem to matter to him, after having abandoned several generations of children because they have not even worried about their safety,” they question.

From the Popular Party they consider that "more than enough time has passed to put a solution on the table" and demand that Oscar Noda "comply once and for all with the plenary mandate because, once again, a school year has begun without a solution."

The municipal spokesperson reminds the Noda government that "the opposition also works for the well-being of the residents and that the initiatives approved in the plenary session have the same validity as those of the government group, so they must be complied with in the same way."
