The next plenary session of San Bartolomé, which will be held this Wednesday, will debate the motion presented by the councilors of the Popular Party, Lorenzo Reyes and Sergio Tejera, in which they propose the transformation of the old municipal library of Playa Honda into a multipurpose space for young people and socio-cultural associations in the town.
The popular representatives point out the lack of facilities that Playa Honda currently has for young people to meet and socialize. “The town has a significant volume of young population who do not have a reference place that can also act as an information point, and for associations in which they can do the activities they usually do, such as dancing, yoga classes, etc.,” says the deputy spokesperson, Sergio Tejera.
“We are talking about a long-term project because these activities and events are currently prohibited due to the health crisis, but it is true that we have to think not only about the present but also about the future and take advantage of this time precisely to fine-tune and improve municipal facilities,” considers the councilor of the Popular Party. “Taking into account also the economic crisis, this type of public works also represents an incentive to the economy, thus fulfilling the double objective of contributing to economic revitalization while expanding the social offer of the town,” adds Sergio Tejera.
