The president of the Local Committee of the PP of Tías, Pancho Hernández, and the general secretary and spokesperson of the political formation San Borondón, Jerónimo Robayna Hernández and Nicolás Saavedra San Ginés, respectively, have signed this Tuesday an agreement for governance in the Tías City Council.
The document establishes the incorporation of the councilor of San Borondón, Jerónimo Robayna, to the government group, as first deputy mayor, in addition to holding the areas of Commerce, Consumption, Local Development Agency, Renewable Energies, Youth, Citizen Participation, Culture, Municipal Radio, Social Services, Family, Solidarity, Minor, Women, Equality and Immigration.
For their part, the councilors of the Popular Party will manage, in addition to the mayor's office, the areas of Local Police, Urban Planning, Area Coordination, Administration, Internal Regime, Citizen Attention, New Technologies, Heritage, Housing, Education, Training, Workshop School, Health, Employment, Seniors, Human Resources, Festivities, Traffic, Transportation, Environmental Management, Cleaning, Parks, Gardens, Civil Protection, Sports, Beaches, Fishing, Agriculture, Livestock, Economy, Finance, Mobile Park, Roads, Works and Tourism.
The agreement reached between both parties also includes that the designation of representatives in entities or institutions outside the city council, as well as the appointment of trusted personnel, will be made by mutual agreement between both political formations.
"Guarantees stability"
From the Popular Party they point out that "the pact signed between both political formations guarantees stability in the Consistory for the next four years." And it is that after the elections of 22M, the PP became the first local political force, with more than 41.35 percent of the votes counted (8 councilor seats), lacking a councilor to form the majority in the Tías City Council. In this sense, the agreement with the San Borondón Party (SB), which obtained a councilor seat, with 6.75 percent of the votes, allows both political formations to add the amount of 9 councilors, thus giving the sufficient majority to give stability to the institution.
By virtue of said pact, the Popular Party and San Borondón affirm that "they guarantee the execution of the political program, establishing, as a framework for work in the institutional sphere, respect for the current legality and the development of policies aimed at promoting the local community, the implementation of social, health and educational infrastructures, the economic promotion of the municipality, the guarantee of respect for individual and collective freedoms and rights, all presided over by institutional loyalty and with the unwavering values of maximum transparency and political honesty".
