The parents and teachers of students of the Caleta de Famara Elementary and Primary School have appealed to the Christmas spirit to get the attention of institutions and in the name of their children have sent a letter to the Three Wise Men, of the Teguise City Council, to remove a mobile phone antenna that is near the unitary school.
"We have behaved very well this year and we have already sent each one our letter. But we would like to ask for a very special gift". In this way, they requested the removal of an installation that is 60 meters from the school, the sociocultural center and the playground.
The AMPA considers that the antenna violates the regulations that establish that there cannot be facilities of these characteristics less than 200 meters from "sensitive areas" and that their children are in full "development process and are more sensitive to the radiation of mobile antennas".
In the letter they have sent to their majesties of the Corporation they ask as a "very special gift" that, on the day of the Three Wise Men, the antennas that are located near "our school and the park where we play every day" are no longer there.
