The owner of the car repair shop defends himself: The man is not well. He said he was a commander in the King's Army and a friend of his.

"When I was reporting him at the Police Station, he came in with a badge saying he was a commander in the King's Army and a friend of his and that he had diplomatic immunity. This man is not well." These are the words of Alain Devouassoux, owner of a car repair shop to which the National Police had to go this Tuesday due to the protest undertaken by Diego de la Cerda, who denounces an alleged "fraudulent" sale of a vehicle.

The owner of the repair shop wants to make it clear that his business "has nothing to do" with this matter. For this reason, he has already filed "three complaints" in the Courts to try to get that man to abandon the protest in front of his shop, which is "harming him a lot."

Thus, he assures that he "doesn't know him at all", but that "he is or was a close friend of a mechanic from the shop". "He came one day to tell me that he had had a problem with a mechanic and that I should give him the money. I told him to sort it out with him, that I had nothing to do with it, but he told me that the mechanic had no money and I did. And what does that have to do with it?" he asks.

Furthermore, he insists that this man assured him that he "was a friend of the King and other nonsense." "I didn't take it seriously, more like a joke," he says. Diego de la Cerda denounces that a mechanic from this shop sold him a car for a total of 1,360 euros (in several payments), but that when he went to the Traffic Department to ask about the situation of the vehicle, he verified that "it was not in the name of the seller", but in another name. That is why he is claiming his money back.

However, the owner of the repair shop continues to insist that it is not his problem, since Diego de la Cerda did the business "with a worker". Furthermore, he insists that after the first discussion with him, he reappeared "with some signs, saying that we had scammed him". "I spoke with him and he admitted that the problem was not with me or the shop, but with the mechanic," assures the owner of the business.

Alain Devouassoux witnessed a discussion between this man and the mechanic. "The mechanic told him that he would give him the 500 (euros) but that he should give him the car and he told him no, that he should give him the 500 first. It seemed like a children's argument. I asked them to leave, but apparently they continued arguing somewhere else," he says.

"I didn't insult him at all"

For his part, Diego de la Cerda filed two complaints with the National Police. In one of them, he assures that the owner of the repair shop stood in front of his house and ended up insulting him. "Son of a bitch, don't you dare put up the signs," it says in the complaint.

In this regard, Devouassoux assures that he did not insult him "at all", but he does admit that he went to his house. "This man left me a note with a cobblestone threatening to kill the mechanic. He left it on the hood of a car inside my shop and dented the hood. I asked the mechanic where he lived to see who would take responsibility for the damage he caused to the vehicle. I showed up there and told him to stop now and to sort it out with the mechanic," he defends.

Likewise, he denies that on Tuesday they tried to wet this man with a hose, and assures that it is also not true that a worker tried to run him over, as Diego de la Cerda has denounced at the National Police station.
