"We are working to recover all the tourist infrastructures of the municipality with an investment plan that will improve the current appearance of Puerto del Carmen, but this task is not easy because the state is regrettable." This is how the mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz, has stated, who this week held a working meeting with the Tourist Federation of Lanzarote to bring positions closer to improve the municipality.

During the meeting, the municipal representatives presented an action plan to turn Tías into a "more attractive" destination with actions in sustainability, gastronomy connected with the primary sector and sports", according to the City Council, which is the first on the island to meet with the Tourist Federation, recently constituted.

For her part, Susana Pérez celebrated this meeting and showed the willingness of the Tourist Federation of Lanzarote to collaborate with the City Council. "We positively value the lines of work exposed from the area of Tourism and Beaches in the medium and long term, but at the same time we insist on undertaking with urgency the pending improvement actions in infrastructures, beaches, streets and sidewalks, cleaning, so necessary for the correct provision of services to tourists as well as to recover the image of Puerto del Carmen as a first-rate tourist center," she concluded.
