The Local Police Councilor of Arrecife, Jacobo Lemes, has reported the opening of proceedings to proceed "to unblock access to Guipúzcoa street in Altavista."
This occurs after one of the owners decided to place, last Tuesday, stones "of great size" in the access to this area of Altavista, where about 30 neighbors live. The police report that they received that same day "a notice from several residents in the aforementioned road", who stated "their concern about the closure of the access to their homes".
The agents of the Local Police confirmed that, effectively, the access had been blocked with large stones that later "had been painted white", so they proceeded to interview the person responsible for the aforementioned obstruction. He explained to the agents that it is a plot that "is owned by him" and other owners, called "group of owners plot 48 polygon 3", who decided to close access to said plot "since they had never authorized the layout of the existing roads."

The Arrecife City Council moved a tractor to the place on Wednesday afternoon with the intention of "removing the stones from the place", although they finally did not carry out the removal. The Councilor for Urban Planning, Eduardo Placeres, explained on Radio Lanzarote - Onda Cero that they were waiting to receive "a report from the Cadastre", which would clarify the ownership of the land, in order to find "a solution".
