The Island Water Council of Lanzarote opens the period for the renewal of the General Board

Interested parties have 30 business days to file claims or request registration in the census. If there are none, the census will be considered definitively approved.

The Island Water Council of Lanzarote announces the opening of the period for the renewal of the councilors that are part of the General Board of this entity, made up of 34 representatives from all areas of public and private administration.

The Councilor for Water of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Domingo Cejas, encourages the participation of all sectors of society represented in the Island Water Council, which "is the true body of representation of society and of entities and associations related to water in Lanzarote and La Graciosa," he remarked.

The Official Gazette of the Canary Islands published on November 15, 2024, the announcement regarding the procedure provided for in the Statutes of the Island Water Council of Lanzarote for the election of the councilor members of the General Board representing the different entities belonging to groups D, consortiums, public companies and public service management related to water; F, agricultural organizations; G, business, trade union and consumer and user organizations; and E, concessionary entities or holders of exploitations, as well as their respective organizations.

 

The censuses and consultations

In relation to the members of groups D, F and G, the Island Water Council informs that a period of 30 business days has been opened for entities to request their registration in the representation censuses, in accordance with article 7 of the Organic Statute. 

The required documentation can be consulted on the website of the Island Water Council of Lanzarote. It must be submitted through the electronic headquarters or by the means established in Law 39/2015. Applications must be addressed to the Electoral Commission of the Island Water Council of Lanzarote.

On the other hand, the provisional census of the entities with the right to representation of group E, corresponding to the concessionary entities or holders of exploitations, as well as their respective organizations, according to article 7 of the Organic Statute, is made available. This census can be consulted on the website of the Island Water Council of Lanzarote.
