The Cabildo of Lanzarote, through the Island Agricultural Service, has signed an agreement with the Yaiza City Council for the free transfer of a total of 12 animal carcass containers intended for livestock farms in the municipality.

Ángel Vázquez, Island Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, accompanied by the Mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda, attended the delivery of these deposits. The minister assures that "they will guarantee the necessary biosecurity measures on livestock farms, while improving the image of the management of these waste products at the island level and preventing the spread of diseases due to the decomposition of dead animals due to high temperatures."

In this way, the Cabildo intends to take advantage of the resources it has and thus offer a highly necessary service.
