The Arrecife City Council has put out to tender the direction and coordination of safety and health of the works that will allow the start of the works for the modernization of sports facilities in the neighborhoods of Las Salinas and Altavista to be undertaken this fall.
The mayor of the capital of Lanzarote, Yonathan de León Machín, signs the tender announcement that is disseminated on the Public Sector Contracting Platform, dated August 3. Interested professionals have until August 21, 2023 to register their technical and economic proposals. The Arrecifes City Council allocates 21,967.02 euros for the professional fees that are awarded in this new municipal tender.
Yonathan de León has announced that as soon as the Arrecife City Council closes this tender, the works for the improvement of several sports facilities in the Altavista and Las Salinas neighborhoods can begin, with an investment of close to 1.2 million euros. The mayor has stressed that the modernization of these works has already been awarded and the legislation provides that professionals in architecture and engineering are assigned the direction and coordination of works to monitor their execution.
For his part, the Councilor for Sports, Juanjo López, has highlighted that it is expected to start these works from autumn, which will cover a demand from clubs and athletes who want to have better sports facilities in Arrecife.
Thus, the Government group led by Mayor Yonathan de León, estimates that "throughout 2024 the neighborhoods of Altavista and Las Salinas will have better sports facilities in their respective neighborhoods, within the municipal plans to renovate these facilities."
The works, for which the direction of works and coordination of safety and health are put out, in two lots, are for the reform of the Librada Díaz Court, located in Altavista, the improvement of the Municipal Recreational Sports Park in the Las Salinas neighborhood, and the modernization of the Bowls Court in the area of the IES Las Salinas. These three projects have already been awarded and now it is required to have the director / a of the direction of work and coordination of safety and health.
