The Ministry of Public Works, Housing and Mobility of the Government of the Canary Islands, through the Canary Housing Institute (ICAVI), directed by Antonio Ortega, has technically approved the drafting of the execution project for the energy rehabilitation of 60 protected properties of public promotion in Los Lirios, in the municipality of Tías.
This batch of homes is included within the file of other groups of properties for energy rehabilitation distributed in the municipalities of Puerto del Rosario, Betancuria, La Oliva, Mogán, San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Santa Lucía de Tirajana, Gáldar, Santa Brígida, Valleseco, Valsequillo and Artenara of the province of Las Palmas.
The works, which have a base bidding budget of 1,214,083.30 euros, are included in the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan and will be financed through Next Generation funds.
Likewise, within this initiative, sub-projects of low-voltage electrical installations, plumbing, thermal installations, health and safety studies, as well as the project management of the project and the installation sub-projects are contemplated.
Homes underway in Lanzarote
Currently, the Department has the work underway in the Los Geranios urbanization, in Arrecife, which is part of the Canary Housing Plan. The 201 homes projected are already under construction.
Likewise, ICAVI and the Cabildo of Lanzarote will soon acquire an unfinished building in Yaiza.
In addition, within program 6 of the European Union's Recovery and Resilience Mechanism, an agreement has been signed with the Yaiza City Council for the construction of a total of 126 public promotion homes for rent, whose project is currently in the drafting phase. Within this same framework, the construction of another 46 homes in Arrecife is also planned.
