The project was never publicly presented, but the container converted into a shop and ticket office of the Castle of San José has started operating this Thursday. Since La Voz de Lanzarote published in April the purpose of this new infrastructure, many political and citizen voices questioned it, which has already been launched.

The government group has finally not explained how much it has cost to execute this project, nor if the container had to be bought, nor how or when the work was awarded. La Voz has asked several times about this issue, but the Tourist Centers sent a statement in which they assured that "all information would be provided once the works were completed."

However, the project has already finished and, even, has been put into operation and, for the moment, no official information has been provided. However, the Tourist Centers plan to convene a press conference this Friday at the Castle of San José.

According to the government group, the project has the permission of Heritage but "of a temporary nature", of "one year extendable to six more months". The design has been developed by the architecture studio of Blanca Fajardo, according to La Provincia.

The director of the International Museum of Contemporary Art (MIAC), María José Alcántara, explained in April to La Voz that this infrastructure would respect the environment and would have "a color very similar to rofe". In addition, from the Centers they defended that "there were multiple architectural references made with the same materials in museums and similar spaces".

The first date that was given to inaugurate this project was April 26, but finally almost three months have had to pass for this infrastructure to be launched. Now we will have to wait for the opinion of tourists and residents in Lanzarote about this container, converted into a shop and ticket office of the Castle of San José and the MIAC.
