The basketball club “La Villa de Teguise”, judo “Costa Teguise” and the “CD Chinijos” handball club, have joined together to publish a press release in which they demand from the Teguise City Council “fair and equal treatment” with respect to football colleagues after the recent construction of the field in Costa Teguise.

The signing sports entities are tired of the situation that is already “years of unfulfilled promises, deficient facilities or absolute lack of them” where “after three legislatures of this government group, they remain unresolved”. In addition, they add that “there are many years of countless meetings and a lot of blank paper that seems to seek to despair so many people behind the spectacular growth of sport in Costa Teguise.”

The teams emphasize that this fact affects “hundreds and hundreds of children who do not have a pavilion, gym or a room to practice martial arts”. In this way, the clubs demand that they be summoned to a plenary session in the Municipal Council in which they have the opportunity to discuss this matter and show their point of view.

The sports clubs point out that they will not give up in their fight “for the good of our young people and the residents of the municipality” and that, therefore, “we join our forces for a common good,” they finally highlight.
