The Civil Guard was able to arrest two more of the 13 occupants of the small boat that arrived after midnight this Monday in the coastal area of Los Ancones, in the municipality of Teguise, on Tuesday afternoon. The two new detainees are adults of Moroccan origin and were located in the vicinity of the municipality.
With these two new arrests, there are five Moroccan immigrants who have been detained by the Civil Guard, so eight of the thirteen crew members are still at large.
At around 00:30 hours this Tuesday, the Local Police of Teguise alerted the Civil Guard to the arrival on the coast of Los Ancones of a six-meter-long small boat, which was intercepted right on the shore. At first, three men of Moroccan origin who claimed to be 16 years old were arrested, while the rest of the occupants (about 10 according to the detainees themselves) fled taking advantage of the darkness, and two more occupants were able to be arrested throughout the afternoon.
The Civil Guard continues with a search device to try to arrest the rest of the occupants.
