The City Council of San Bartolomé increases the surveillance services on the beaches of the municipality until October 16. Thus, the beaches of Guacimeta and Juan El Curita, in Playa Honda, will have a service of two qualified lifeguards from Monday to Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, highlights the importance of "having safe beaches in the municipality so that both residents and visitors can enjoy the summer dates without worries."
"The beaches of the municipality are filled these days with families who take advantage of the holidays to enjoy the good weather, so it is a necessity to provide them with security," Pérez points out.
For his part, the Councilor for Security, Mamadou Yero Sy Cisse, adds that in order to "carry out this surveillance, we have the support of the Security and Emergency Consortium of Lanzarote, which covers part of the cost of the service that Emerlan will offer."
This measure will increase on weekends where the beaches will have one more member in the security and surveillance forces.
