The Teguise City Council has officially received the work of installation of shade structures in the outdoor court of CEIP Costa Teguise, a project that responds to the demands raised by the educational community and the AMPA Pejeverde, and that is part of the improvement actions carried out in the center.
This intervention is part of a comprehensive improvement plan, with an investment of close to 300,000 euros, which represents a significant advance in guaranteeing more comfortable and safe spaces for students. The installed structure has stainless steel columns that support a high-resistance tensioned canvas designed to offer protection against solar radiation during peak hours. Students are already using these new facilities, benefiting from a more suitable environment for their outdoor activities.
The mayor of Teguise, Olivia Duque, accompanied by the councilors of Works, Eugenio Robayna and Education, Mar Boronat, visited the area to supervise the completion of the works and "reaffirm the municipal commitment to educational quality."
“This work is a direct response to the needs expressed by the families and professionals of CEIP Costa Teguise, and represents an important improvement in the daily quality of life of the students, who will be able to enjoy a safer and more suitable school environment for their outdoor activities,” said the mayor.
In addition to the creation of shade areas, the City Council has carried out the improvement of the court's pavement to increase safety, the complete renovation of the playground with new equipment and adapted pavement, the comprehensive repair of the bathrooms and the rehabilitation of the perimeter fence, thus reinforcing the school environment.
The Teguise City Council continues working on improving the infrastructure of the 11 schools in the municipality, with various actions that include the installation of shade areas in the La Villa de Teguise school. This intervention responds to the demands of the educational community and seeks to offer more comfortable and safe spaces for students.
