The Arrecife Carnivals have premiered this year the services of a Mobile Healthcare Assistance Center. The Arrecife City Council offers for the first time these services for health emergencies during the celebration of carnivals in Lanzarote.
The Arrecife City Council has counted on this Center, installed near the Carnival area of Puerto de Naos, within the deployments that are being carried out for the safety and prevention of the development of the carnival festivities, which will experience this Monday, March 3, and Wednesday, March 5, the Great Coso, and the Burial of the Sardine, respectively, where thousands of people will mobilize in the capital of Lanzarote.
The mayor of Arrecife, Yonathan de León, and the deputy mayor and councilor of Festivities, Echedey Eugenio, visited these facilities during the day this Saturday, where the city of Arrecife experienced a colorful parade, and the second Day Carnival, very crowded, whose security was channeled through the special deployment that has been activated by the City Council.
Arrecife has signed a collaboration with Emerlan Lanzarote for the provision of these services of the Mobile Healthcare Assistance Center, which is reinforced with 15 vehicles, of which 11 are ambulances, and the support of about 35 people, mostly healthcare professionals. The Mobile Healthcare Assistance Center has capacity for 6 patients, in addition to a specific box. All this deployment is communicated with the Operational Coordination Center to attend to possible health emergencies during the development of the different events programmed in the carnivals of Arrecife.
