The Cabildo of Lanzarote presented this Thursday at the Farmer's Museum the program planned to commemorate the Canary Islands Day on the Island. The activities are organized by the Island Department of Culture, with the sponsorship of the Government of the Canary Islands and the collaboration of the Centers for Art, Culture and Tourism, and will last from May 27 to 30.
The president of the Island Council, María Dolores Corujo, announced that this year's agenda will feature "art, crafts, sculpture, musical performances and lots of enthusiasm and fun". “We intend to celebrate in 2022, more than ever, the union of the Canarian people and the overcoming that we have shown in the face of adversity in recent years as an Archipelago,” said the president.
“We have left behind the health crisis, and we are moving firmly along the path of recovery of tourism, economic activity and employment, therefore, I believe we have more than enough reasons to celebrate this date with enthusiasm and joy,” said the president.
