The Island Council, through the Senior Citizens Area, will pay tribute to the mothers of Lanzarote and La Graciosa in an event that will be held next Friday, May 2, at the Finca Las Higuera, called Toast to the mothers. The event, which will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., will feature a performance by the singer Inma Sepúlveda.
The Councilor of the Senior Citizens Area, Nori Machín, explained that "this activity is especially aimed at mothers over 55 years old from our islands, with the aim of highlighting the effort, love and dedication that this generation has put into raising their sons and daughters."
Machín explained that "throughout Friday morning, the mothers who come to Finca Las Higueras, this unique place located in the heart of La Geria, will feel surrounded by a special environment, where they can enjoy a welcoming atmosphere where music will accompany the emotional videos that we will present to honor this figure on the occasion of Mother's Day."
In addition, Machín added that "they will also have the opportunity to taste a cocktail to toast and enjoy, together, this emotional celebration."
