María Dolores Corujo and Isidro Pérez have visited the works of the future Playa Honda Urban Park, reports the Cabildo of Lanzarote.
Both have been able to verify firsthand "the advanced state of the actions of what will be the largest urban park in the Canary Islands," he comments. Dolores Corujo has congratulated for "the work done to date" and has remarked "the quality and grandeur of the infrastructure that is currently glimpsed," he says.
"Playa Honda is one of the most important centers of the island and this urban park responds to the needs of the town and the citizens", he highlighted.
Likewise, Isidro Pérez has valued "the progress shown by the work" and has pointed out that "it is expected to be completed in a timely manner." In the same way, the mayor has recalled that "the Playa Honda Urban Park will be a public space dedicated to community initiatives with the aim of revitalizing economic and social activities."
"The infrastructure seeks to break down social barriers and promote the integration of the population and groups of the municipality in relationship spaces, coworking and through meetings and celebrations," confirms the Island Government. "The Playa Honda Urban Park will have spaces for the recreation of pets, kiosks and green areas that will also be a "green lung" for the municipality," he adds.
"The work has a budget of three million euros" and is part of "the set of actions of the European Regional Development Fund, within the Sustainable Urban Development Strategy 'Conurban Azul' of the Sustainable Growth Operational Program 2014-2020," he concludes.
