The Governing Council of the Cabildo of Lanzarote approved this Monday, July 28, the provisional award of travel grants to pursue official higher education studies —Higher Level Vocational Training, University Degrees and Masters— outside of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, corresponding to the academic year 2024/2025.

In total, a provisional amount of 590,400 euros has been approved, which will be distributed in 1,476 individual grants of 400 euros each. However, the Cabildo has allocated a total budget of 600,000 euros, so the final amount will depend on the number of claims that are finally favorably estimated.

The Councilor for Education of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Ascensión Toledo, has pointed out that these grants represent "a necessary support for families and students who must leave our islands to continue their training. From the Cabildo we remain committed to the right to education in equal conditions, regardless of the place of residence."

The provisional list of awardees can be consulted through the Electronic Headquarters of the Cabildo of Lanzarote and on the management website of Scholarships/Grants.

Likewise, a period of ten business days has been established to present allegations, counted from this Monday, July 28. The allegations must be made in the file created by the applicant and to resolve doubts they can contact the FULP on the phone 690-255-426 or through the email [email protected].
