The little ones will have access to Road Safety Education thanks to a new campaign organized by the Cabildo de Lanzarote and aimed at infant and primary school students from various centers on the Island.
The play entitled "The Untold Story" is based on a puppet theater and a participatory workshop on road safety education. Over the course of an hour, children ages three to eight will have the opportunity to learn with a didactic treatment and a clear, direct and simple language, also reinforced with songs.
The story begins with Prudencia's visit to the children with her large magic book of stories, whose pages are blank. The workshop that complements the puppet show shows children with practical examples from their environment the need to respect the rules, as well as safe pedestrian behavior habits, associated with the colors of the traffic light, which facilitate the identification and perception of risks in traveling through the streets.
The staging of the play will be carried out by the company "Teatrarte" from Madrid, which will give two daily sessions in each center, with approximately 150 children being able to attend each session.
Each day there will be two sessions, one at 10:00 a.m. and another at 12:00 p.m., with a total of ten performances. The last one, on May 16 at the CEIP Los Geranios, in Arrecife.
