The Cabildo of Lanzarote will increase the services in the Papagayo Camping Area during the next summer months.
“We promised that users could enjoy all the services during the summer season and we have fulfilled it”, highlights the Councilor for Youth, Myriam Barros, who also recalls that, for the first time, "this camping area will be in operation throughout the year and not only in summer".
Specifically, from June 20 to mid-September, users of the Papagayo Camping Area will be able to enjoy new services, such as the possibility of having electricity in the plots. “In addition, the toilets will be open and there will be a gray water purification system”, says the Councilor for Youth, the area in charge of managing the camping area.
These services will be added to those that have already been offered since the Papagayo Camping Area opened its doors on April 8, so that campers and caravaners who camp in this space will continue to have solar light in common areas, black water collection and security service during the night.
“These services will be maintained permanently, but those that we will implement now will only be offered in high seasons, because we cannot allow the management of the Papagayo Camping Area to be deficient as it was in previous years, when it was under the tutelage of the right”, says Myriam Barros.
The councilor recalls that reservations for places can be made online through the web portal papagayo.ecoentrada.com and that, in order to facilitate the mobility of users, the stay is limited to 15 days, and can be extended for another fifteen.
As for the prices per plot and day, they are 9 euros for motorhomes and camper vans and 6 euros for tents and huts if they are residents, while non-residents must pay 11 and 8 euros respectively.
