The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Pedro San Ginés, has called a session of the Biosphere Reserve Council for next Monday, March 28 at 11:00 a.m. in which a "legal opinion regarding irregular accommodation and residential facilities in tourist areas" will be reported, according to the agenda.
The next item is the presentation of the growth containment criteria defined in the Progress Report of the environmental report of the Island Plan of Lanzarote, which is currently being drafted by the team of architect José María Ezquiaga.
The other two items on the agenda will be to elect a representative of the Council to serve as a jury in the architectural competition called for the future headquarters of the Council, and the election of a representative of the Biosphere Reserve on the Coordination Council of the Canary Islands Network of Biosphere Reserves.
