The Cabildo of Lanzarote, through the Education Area managed by Paula Corujo, has definitively awarded the Scholarships and Study Aids for the 2019-2020 academic year to the students of the Island. “With an investment worth 577,200 euros, 420 of the 1,224 students who submitted their application will benefit from this subsidy,” says Corujo.
After the resolution of the students' allegations, the Corporation classified 804 applications as 'unfavorable', according to the established criteria. In this sense, 70 of the allegations presented by the students changed the status of the application to 'favorable'.
The list with the Final Resolution is available on the electronic Notice Board of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, on the website of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, and on the website for managing Scholarships/Aids.
The 577,200 euros have been distributed, by categories, among the modality of Official University Studies, face-to-face, of Degree and Higher Artistic Studies, in which there were 165 favorable applications, that of Official Postgraduate Studies, face-to-face, outside of Lanzarote, in which there were nine, that of official studies of Professional Training and other professional face-to-face teachings outside the Island, with 26 favorable applications, that of Student Mobility Programs (Erasmus, Sicue, etc.), with a total of 4 favorable, and that of Complementary Accommodation Aid for Students, in which there were 199 accepted applications.
On the other hand, for students studying non-face-to-face or on the island of Lanzarote, in the modality of Scholarships for Official Non-Face-to-Face and Face-to-Face Studies on the Island, a total of 15 aids have been granted, and in that of Official Non-Face-to-Face and Face-to-Face Postgraduate University Studies, there were a total of two favorable applications. For the Student Mobility Programs (Erasmus, Sicue, etc.) for Nursing and Tourism students in Lanzarote, there have been no favorable applications.
