The Vehicle Technical Inspection (ITV) station in Arrecife has increased the public service hours to 60 hours a week. It provides an uninterrupted service from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday since April 28. This aims to improve "substantially" the service that was being provided to users, who until now only had 39 hours a week of service in split hours.
The intervention of the Ministry of Employment, Industry and Commerce has made it possible for the concessionaire company to adopt the necessary measures to guarantee a better provision of the ITV service on the island and a reduction in the waiting time between the request for an appointment and the inspection of the vehicle. The objective of this action has been to increase the quality in an activity that is increasingly in demand in the islands, so it is necessary to adapt the offer to the new needs of the users.
