The City Council of San Bartolomé, through the Department of the Elderly delegated to Alma González, has organized a series of activities for the elderly of the municipality that will begin on September 6.
As indicated by the City Council, all activities have limited places due to the current health situation. In addition, during the development of the same, all Covid-19 protocols will be carried out, such as the use of masks and the maintenance of interpersonal distance.
This program of activities "attempts to contribute to the improvement of the vital conditions of the participants through exercises and activities that enhance their physical, emotional and memory", said the mayor of San Bartolomé, Alexis Tejera.
For her part, Councilor Alma María González recalls that the activities will take place both in the Municipal Center of San Bartolomé and in the Municipal Center of Playa Honda from Monday to Friday in the morning.
Activity program
In the case of the Municipal Center for the Elderly of San Bartolomé, on Mondays there will be maintenance gymnastics at 09:00 hours and memory stimulation at 10:00 hours and the 'Serénate' workshop at 11:00 hours.
Also, on Thursdays there will be maintenance gymnastics again at 09:00 hours, while at 10:30 hours there will be physiotherapy and at 11:00 the psychoemotional workshop 'Café-Té-Canela' will be held.
The activities in the Municipal Center for the Elderly of Playa Honda will be held on Tuesdays and Fridays. On the first day, at 09:00 hours there will be maintenance gymnastics, at 10:30 hours physiotherapy and at 11:30 hours the 'Serénate' workshop will be held.
On Fridays there will be maintenance gymnastics again at 09:00 hours, while at 10:30 hours memory stimulation will be given and at 11:30 hours the psychoemotional workshop 'Café-Té-Canela' will be held.
