Teguise has launched a mobility and new signage plan in the town of Caleta de Famara with the aim of "improving traffic flow" on different public roads.

During these days, work has begun to act on the entire Avenida del Marinero and on San Borondón street, which will now have new signs, both horizontal and vertical.

Councilor Eugenio Robayna details that "a specific section of these roads will be one-way with the intention of improving safety in traffic and the mobility of pedestrians, thanks to the projection of a future sidewalk." "We are also going to gain more parking areas, thus meeting the demands of the residents," adds Robayna.

On the other hand, Robayna also recalls that the town hall has "improved" the surroundings of the 'Mozaga Sociocultural Center' so that the mobility of both vehicles and pedestrians is much safer. Likewise, a parking area has also been enabled at the rear of the center.

In this sense, the Councilor for Police and Traffic, Ginés González, affirms that "road safety will be reinforced in this area" and asks drivers "to drive with caution and always respect traffic signals."

Finally, the mayor of Teguise, Olivia Duque, assures that "from the different areas of the consistory we are working in a coordinated manner to meet the demands of the residents, fundamentally in terms of mobility and safety, so that our municipality is more comfortable and safe."
