The Teguise City Council will have a new cleaning service in public facilities from April 1, tendered through an open procedure, by the company Nortex Outsourcing Global, after the Canary Islands Advisory Council gave the Consistory the reason on February 20, for the termination of the current contract with the company Aema Hispánica for repeated breaches of the contract, as well as the non-payment of salaries to the staff.

Mayor Olivia Duque highlights "the importance of this resolution for the advancement of the municipality in terms of cleanliness and recalls that the new awarding company will begin operating next month." "The award of the new company that will be in charge of providing this service, the company Nortex Outsourcing Global, has already been published, which will come into effect from Tuesday, April 1," she adds.

"Our priority is that both residents and visitors can enjoy a clean municipality, in optimal conditions, that guarantees their comfort and hygiene," says the first mayor.

For her part, the Councilor of the Area, Mar Boronat, emphasizes that "it has been a complicated process" and points out that "from Teguise we have processed the termination of the contract jointly with the tender for the new one, to resolve the conflict as soon as possible and shorten the deadlines."

The Consistory sought a service alternative with another entity to guarantee the minimum hygienic and cleaning conditions of the schools, until the new award of the service. Therefore, the new awarding company will be in charge of providing cleaning service to the municipal dependencies and facilities for the benefit of the citizens in order to guarantee the fulfillment and improvement of public facilities.
