The Teguise City Council has resolved the bidding for the cleaning contract for municipal buildings and facilities, awarding the provision of the service under the contract to the company Aema Hispánica for an amount of 610,000 euros and a duration of 2 years.
From the Consistory they explain that given the characteristics of the municipal dependencies -schools, buildings and various facilities- and the conditions of the municipal service, it is necessary that it be executed "in a centralized and unified way to enable its efficiency and its control".
Likewise, the City Council points out that in the granting of this contract it has been taken into account that, due to the numerous activities subject to schedule modifications depending on the organization and development of the activities themselves in all the facilities, "changes can be made depending on the demand for sports, cultural or leisure services, which directly affects the schedules and frequencies of the cleaning service".
On the other hand, the Consistory points out that the technical department of the area specifies that "the contractor will be responsible for the quality of the work covered by this contract, as well as the control and management of all the waste generated during the same, adjusting at all times to the legal regulations established at present or that may be enacted in the future."
Similarly, the City Council adds that it will be the responsibility of the successful bidder to notify the Teguise Consistory of "all those anomalies that are detected, regardless of the work entrusted in the municipal buildings and facilities covered by the contract, such as the sports hall of the Villa de Teguise; soccer field and gymnasium of the Villa de Teguise; sports hall of Tahiche; soccer field and gymnasium of Tahiche; wrestling ground and Tao gymnasium; Tao Infant and Primary Education school; "El Hoyo" facilities; Jablillo beach toilets, Bastián and Las Cucharas beach toilets, in Costa Teguise; La Mareta square toilets, funeral home, Town Hall, Local Police Headquarters and Social Services Area, in the Villa de Teguise".
"On the other hand, the City Council has also foreseen the coverage of municipal buildings and facilities for which a public service is planned soon, as is the case of the new Civic Center and the Soccer Field in Costa Teguise," said Oswaldo Betancort.
"The Contracting area is now working on several specifications for lighting and rehabilitation of courts and playgrounds," said the head of the area, Olivia Duque.
