Officials from the Tahíche prison launched themselves into the sea this Wednesday, in front of the La Mareta residence in Costa Teguise, in a new attempt for the President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, to listen to their demands.
It must be remembered that the prison workers, who joined several days of strike in October and November, already carried out a protest on December 30 before the residence where Sánchez is spending a few days of vacation on the island, although they could not be with him.
Among other things, prison officials demand a salary increase like the members of the Civil Guard and the Police have had, who have had their salary equated with the autonomous police.
