Sonidos Líquidos kicked off its XV edition this past Sunday in a unique enclave: the Casa Museo del Campesino, that space that symbolizes the gateway to the island's wine-growing area par excellence, La Geria. And it did so with that unconditional audience that gave themselves as if there were no tomorrow, with the renovated Monumento al Campesino by César Manrique as a backdrop.
The event featured the performance of Acantha Lang, an internationally renowned artist, whose powerful voice and unmistakable style accompanied an unforgettable evening. A day in which the ideal temperature reigned, after a morning of intense heat and the lurking of clouds as props in a perfect canvas.
Lang's soul merged with the +dache Rosado wines from Vega de Yuco, Blanco Malvasía Volcánica Seco from Casa Althay, Tinto Listán Negro from Bodega Vulcano and Malvasía Volcánica Semidulce from La Florida. All this accompanied by the rich gastronomy of the CACT, which on that occasion surprised with bites of rabbit in salmorejo with sweet potato puree from jable and crispy goat cheese, coastal rice and, as a finishing touch, Canarian frangollo; without forgetting the tasty vegetable roll for the vegan public.
In addition, as is usual in this event, the little ones were able to enjoy the workshop with handmade clay and the "clay atelier", by Ludieduca; making the whole family able to take advantage of Sunday in a different way.
Next stops: El Grifo and La Geria
Now, with the body already in motion, the eyes are set on the next events. A new Belingueo will take place on the last weekend of April and with a double session. Coinciding with the 250th anniversary of El Grifo, the oldest winery in the Canary Islands will host the concerts of Los Mejillones Tigre (Saturday, April 26) and Repion (Sunday, April 27). In addition, the wines of this emblematic winery will be paired with the succulent proposals offered by Saborea Lanzarote.
As a finishing touch, the closing of this edition will be held in the unmistakable landscape of La Geria, with the expected performance of Lori Meyers, one of the most influential bands of Spanish indie; the artist Queralt Lahoz and the Canadian band Wine Lips, among others. Stay tuned for the next announcements that the organization will make about one of the most anticipated events of the summer.
