The Playa Honda soccer field will have new facilities thanks to an action promoted by the San Bartolomé City Council, which includes the construction of a changing room building with a total area of 163.75 square meters and a budget of 364,675.86 euros.

This project was announced this past Sunday, May 11, during the Celebration and Presentation of the Inter Playa Club, after having been proclaimed champion of the First Regional of Lanzarote a few days ago and on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of this sports association.

The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, points out that “this intervention responds to the need to provide the Playa Honda field with modern facilities that are adequate for the activity that takes place in it, offering better conditions for athletes, referees and clubs”. In this way, this good news arrives to share with the team our commitment and congratulations for the achievement achieved.”

For his part, the Councilor for Sports, Alexis Hernández, highlights that “the action not only covers functional needs, but will also allow the club and other groups to have a versatile space for meetings, training or internal activities”.

The project includes two changing rooms for 11-a-side soccer teams, with an area of between 30 and 40 square meters each, a changing room for referees, and a cooling room that will incorporate massage tables and a contrast or recovery pool. In addition, two areas will be set up for the storage of sports equipment and a multipurpose room that can be used for meetings or other complementary uses.

With this initiative, the San Bartolomé City Council "reinforces its commitment to grassroots sports and the continuous improvement of municipal infrastructures, actively supporting the work of clubs and the well-being of users".
