San Bartolomé denies charging 270 euros for renting the municipal picnic area: "It's 35 euros"

The San Bartolomé City Council has responded to the neighborhood complaint in which a citizen criticized that the City Council had put "a price of 270 euros" for the rental of the municipal picnic area "since the beginning of this year." "He is confusing the annex of the Casa Mayor Guerra with the picnic area," said the Councilor for Economy and Finance of the Consistory, Antonio Rocío.

As the councilor explained, it is said annex that costs 270 euros to rent, because it is "a space for big events." "The picnic area has nothing to do with it, it is a space for lower-level events, although it is just 300 meters from the Casa Mayor Guerra," Rocío specified.

In this regard, although he has acknowledged that they have also started charging for the rental of the picnic area, he has indicated that the price in this case is only 35 euros, in addition to the 100 euros deposit that was already charged and that must continue to be paid to rent either of the two spaces.

"They are different things and I understand that the neighbor is talking about the Casa Mayor Guerra, which is an Asset of Cultural Interest and, by the way, with a cost much lower than those charged for similar spaces in any area, whether private or public," defended the Councilor for Economy and Finance.
