The San Bartolomé City Council has initiated actions for the improvement of the educational facilities of the municipality. For this purpose, the City Council will carry out maintenance and conservation work on all the schools in the municipal area.
This week, works have been launched that will benefit the CEIP Ajei, Alcalde Alexis Tejera Lemes and Playa Honda, and the rural schools of Montaña Blanca and Güime, so that the centers are prepared for the next course.
The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, stated that these types of actions “are necessary every year so that the students and teachers of each center find themselves at the beginning of the course with optimal and modern facilities for the correct development of the teaching activity.”
Likewise, the Councilor for Public Services, Raúl de León, detailed that "the actions consist of painting, improving the safety and image of the environments used by students and teachers." The councilor added that, with this, "the City Council's commitment to maintaining the facilities in the best possible condition for the use and enjoyment of the citizens continues."
