With the aim of knowing and applying the techniques that allow acting in the most effective way in emergency situations or health problems, in addition to the basic techniques that allow keeping the victim in the best vital conditions before the arrival of the emergency services, the NGO Red Cross will teach this summer (from June 23 to July 17), a First Aid course aimed at the general population, in the afternoon from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.. The course, which will be evaluated continuously, consists of 30 theoretical hours and 20 practical hours, and a total of 25 places. The price is 175 euros, and 150 euros for the unemployed, students and members.

Among the contents offered by the Red Cross, the syllabus includes the Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) technique, shock and hemorrhages, burns and alterations of thermoregulation, mobilization and evacuation and intervention in accidents with multiple victims, among other subjects.

On the other hand, and in a complementary way, the second of the Aquatic Lifeguard of Swimming Pool courses will also be taught. This, which will take place on the weekends of June 21, 22, 28 and 29 in the morning and afternoon, has a total of 9 theoretical hours and 21 practical hours. The price is 110 euros and will take place in the assembly hall of the Red Cross on Vía Medular and in the swimming pool of the Arrecife barracks.
