Lanzarote Island Council Plenary Session

The Cabildo government group has voted divided on two motions that were debated in this Friday's Plenary Session and it has been Podemos who has tipped the balance, siding with the PSOE and Councilor Juan Manuel Sosa.

One of the motions had been presented by the PP itself, which has had the support of the Canarian Coalition. In it, it demanded that the Island Corporation urge the Government of Spain “to urgently implement measures to lower the price of electricity.” However, the votes of the PSOE, Podemos and Juan Manuel Sosa have overturned the proposal.

In the following point it was the turn of a CC motion and the same vote was repeated, again with an issue that affects the central government, where PSOE and Podemos are partners.

In this case, the Canarian Coalition demanded that the Plenary express its rejection of the facilities that have been set up next to the Arrecife National Police station for the temporary reception of immigrants

The PP has joined its votes to those of CC, distancing itself from its partner, but the motion has not prospered either.
