The LEP - Sí PODEMOS group in the Cabildo of Lanzarote has presented this Monday allegations to the bases that regulate the aid to micro-enterprises and self-employed people that the institution has launched after the initiative presented by the purple group.

These allegations try to promote island companies that take equal opportunities more seriously and whose staff is made up of more than 50% of women indefinitely. They also seek to reward the hiring of people with functional diversity.

According to the spokesperson for the island group, Myriam Barros, her proposal tries to "compensate for the disadvantages of people who, either because of their gender or because they have different abilities, are excluded from participating in political, economic, cultural and social life."

Similarly, Podemos demands that the Cabildo government group made up of PSOE and PP speed up the deadlines because "every day that passes, the island's small businesses suffer the risk of closing forever with everything that this entails for many families."

“We have been pushing María Dolores Corujo's socialists for almost a year to comply with the self-employed and the local commercial fabric and forget about continuing to please the large tour operators as their right-wing partners impose on them”, they conclude from Podemos.
