Coalición Canaria has been presenting its candidates for the upcoming elections in May for several weeks, including María Isabel Déniz for Arrecife and Juan Pedro Hernández for Teguise. This Tuesday, it will do so with the candidate for the Cabildo, Inés Rojas, three public officials from the Party of Independents of Lanzarote. Dimas Martín's party has reacted by comparing the three candidates to the signings of a football team, signings that, according to the PIL, "have gone from being stars to being washed up."
They continue with the similarity alluding to Coalición Canaria as if it were Real Madrid or Barcelona, but they point out that the "selector" of this improvised team of politicians was wrong to "select", because they consider that "the trio of defectors were good when they started in the PIL, because they had a good coach" and the rest of the party members "played on the same field and all as one".
They refer to Juan Pedro Hernández, Inés Rojas and María Isabel Déniz as "these three elements" who "if necessary, score goals in their own net", and then proceed to lash out at each of the three candidates, dedicating niceties such as that the mayor of Arrecife no longer walks the streets and neighborhoods so that "the poor are not disheartened by seeing her designer clothes", that the presidency of the Cabildo "fell to Inés Rojas in a raffle" and that the mayor of Teguise "is no longer anyone".
