The Cabildo of Lanzarote has agreed, in the last Governing Council, to launch different actions for the improvement of the energy efficiency of its infrastructures, as well as the reform or creation of municipal spaces to serve the citizens. These projects have an allocation of 2,519,605.59 euros, from FDCAN funds, and are part of the Lanzarote 2016-2025 program of the Cabildo, in collaboration with the seven municipalities of the island.

The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, María Dolores Corujo, points out that "these new actions are part of a commitment that we have been working on since 2016 and will continue to develop until 2025 with the aim of ensuring that our infrastructures are efficient both energetically and in the public service they provide." In addition, she stressed that "this investment is in line with our continued commitment to the citizens and the improvement of the municipal services available to them."

For his part, the Minister of Public Works, Alfredo Mendoza, stresses that "any investment that is oriented towards energy efficiency as well as the improvement of services is always a clear commitment to continue positioning ourselves as a destination of reference."
