The president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Manuela Armas, said this Monday that the Island's water supply company, Inalsa, will file an appeal first and an administrative dispute later against the ruling of the Ministry of Industry of the Government of the Canary Islands that leaves the company out of the wind power distribution.
Armas said that she is "very concerned" about this circumstance and that it is necessary to convey "the importance that our wind has at an economic level." "If it had no value, no one would come from outside to take it," she said.
She stated that with the distribution of the tender, the people of Lanzarote will be "condemned to buy energy from others for the rest of our lives." "The tender will be legal? she pointed out? but it is one thing for it to be legal and another for it to be legitimate."
