With 25 world records in the specialty and more than 500 dives below 100 meters deep, Pipín Ferreras presented this Wednesday the first Apnea Master Campus 2013 and its projects for Lanzarote, in an event held at the [Hotel Vitalclass Lanzarote->http://http://www.vitalclasslanzarote.com/].

The campus, in addition to pool practices, will include dives in the open sea, scheduled for this Friday, the 29th, at 2:00 p.m. on the island of La Graciosa, and for Saturday at 9:00 a.m. on Las Cucharas beach, in Costa Teguise.

In the presentation, [Pipín Ferreras->http://www.pipinferreras.com/] also explained various plans that his institution is considering for Lanzarote, such as the search for locations to establish a freediving training area like those existing in the Bahamas or the Red Sea and the possible attempt of a new world record in the mixed tandem modality, below 120 meters, with the aim of attracting more women to the sport of freediving.

Pipín Ferreras is immersed in achieving a chilling record on June 8 in Cabo San Lucas (Mexico), in which he intends to concatenate 5 dives of more than 100 meters deep after rests of only 2 minutes. The event will be broadcast worldwide for the internet by Google and will be recorded by the film director James Cameron, who is filming a movie about the life of Pipín Ferreras.

In addition, the young Canadian freediving promise Juscelina Nina Melo, who also participates in the campus, expressed the wish that her program Hunting the Abyss, of Discovery Channel, can include chapters filmed in Lanzarote.

In addition to Pipín Ferreras and Juscelina Nina Melo, the presentation of this event was also attended by the president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Pedro San Ginés; the deputy mayor of the City Council of Teguise, Lourdes Cabrera; the president of the Federation for Europe and Africa - Deep Quest Institute, Ronny Roskosch and the director of the Hotel Vitalclass, Diego Pérez.

For his part, Ronny Roskosch commented that the Campus is divided into two courses, one of initial level and the second of instructor category, which will accredit the students with the official certification of the Deep Quest Institute, one of the international federations of more world prestige. He also invited fans to come to the hotel on Saturday the 30th at 5:00 p.m. because a seminar open to the public will be held by Pipín Ferreras from 5 to 7 p.m., which he will do in the company of Juscelina Nina Melo.

The director of the hotel, Diego Pérez, thanked the participation of the Cabildo of Lanzarote as official sponsor, as well as the rest of the companies that allow this test to be carried out. Both Pedro San Ginés and Lourdes Cabrera reaffirmed the determined commitment that the institutions they represent make to the positioning of Lanzarote as an ideal destination for practicing sports.
