Sewage reaches the Charco de San Ginés

Lanzarote en Pie has warned that the sewage spill that Arrecife has been suffering this week and that began in Argana Alta "has reached the sea". "Someone will have to answer for these events. What has happened in these days has those responsible. It is something very serious", warns the formation.

The party has released images that reflect the state of the Charco de San Ginés, where "dead fish are seen at the bottom", and wonders if it is related to those spills that also reached that area of the capital this Thursday.

Lanzarote en Pie considers it inadmissible that "no one controlled" that spill and its spokesperson in the Arrecife City Council, Leticia Padilla, maintains that "they have put it in the hands of the competent authorities", thus referring to a complaint in the Civil Guard.

For their part, from the Benemérita they have confirmed to La Voz that Seprona is investigating whether this new spill is related to the one in Argana, which they were already following for days to determine possible administrative or even criminal responsibilities.
