The Assembly of Socialists of Tinajo ratified on Saturday afternoon the candidacy of José Luis Bahillo for mayor. The event was held at the party headquarters, with the presence of about fifty people, including members of the group and guests from other municipalities.

In his speech, Bahillo thanked the local Committee and the members of the PSOE of Tinajo for their confidence, "for betting on a new candidate in politics but with enormous enthusiasm and desire to steer the change that our municipality needs."

"It is time, now, to begin preparing the proposals for our electoral program, something that all members of the group should do, being able to reflect in them the needs of our neighbors," he added.

For his part, the general secretary of the Socialists of Lanzarote, Carlos Espino, pointed out that "Tinajo deserves a mayor who does not dedicate his time to resolving the conflicts that he himself creates in his party. To achieve this goal, the colleagues of Tinajo are going to put everything on their part and of course, they will have the full support of the party."

Along with José Luis Bahillo, María Belén Morales, Begoña Hernández, Rafael Delgado, Vicente Tavío, Águeda Muñoz, Manuel Quintana, José Antonio Cabrera, Magdalena Duque, María del Mar Morales, Óscar Quiroga, Rosario Hernández and Heloise Bonvoism complete the socialist slate to the City Council of Tinajo. The alternates are Cristin Morales, Asunción Bernal and Fabián Bernal.

José Luis Bahillo Bayón is 50 years old, born in León and resident in Tinajo. Trained in tourism management at the Sheffield Polytechnic School, he has developed his professional activity as managing director in several hotels in Lanzarote. He has been linked to different groups in the municipality, highlighting his time as secretary at the Tinajo Sports Club.
