Jesús Machín received this Saturday the mayor's baton of Tinajo. The candidate of Coalición Canaria has become the mayor of the Lanzarote municipality for the seventh consecutive term and for 22 years.
"We are from Lanzarote the ones who have had the most support in percentage of votes. My people have known, know and will know how to do things. I give as an example what happened between 1730 and 1736 with that volcanic misfortune that destroyed so much farmland and they knew how to turn it into black gold."
Currently he has chained absolute majorities that have served to revalidate his position in power.
In the last elections of May 28, he obtained nine councilors, two more than in the 2019 elections and one more than in those of 2015. Machín has committed for this legislature to "not govern only for those who voted for him, but for everyone."
From the list presented by Coalición Canaria, the councilors Luis Miguel Pérez, Yurena Cubas, Vianney Rodríguez, Jonathan Pérez, Adriana Brito, Johana García and Coraima Morales will also be part of the local government in this legislature.
In addition, the councilor Begoña Hernández and Manuel F. Toribio Bernal are incorporated by the PSOE. While from the Renovating Movement of Tinajo-Nueva Canarias (MRT-NC) Antonio Morales and Francisco Manuel Disa have collected the minutes of councilors.
