Jacobo Medina, assures that one of the clear objectives of his government will be "to value the artisan and traditional work of the islands to guarantee its survival as a patrimonial wealth that it is" and also as "professional activity that generates employment”, comments the party.

In this line, Medina proposes within his program "the creation of a School-Workshop of riverside carpentry", a traditional trade.

“From the point of view of our traditions, riverside carpentry is "a treasure that public administrations should cherish and support decisively, not only with specific actions, but with initiatives that really last over time and create a trade”, he points out.

"Although the trade had its splendor in the seafaring and fishing past of Arrecife, it still persists linked to the sea and the world of sailing."

"Each boat is a work of art that has the seal of its author and we have the obligation and the responsibility to preserve all that knowledge and that cultural legacy that begins from the same stroke”, highlights the candidate.

"We have the obligation and the responsibility to preserve all that legacy"

“It is important that young people or anyone who has concerns and loves the sea can approach this trade", he makes clear, and more so on an island that can "boast of having few, but excellent riverside carpenters who learned from the best”, defends Medina, who has very present in his program "the recovery and maintenance" of our traditions as a people.
