The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, was this Monday on the program Buenos días, Lanzarote of Radio Lanzarote - Onda Cero to answer some questions, among them the works of the underpass on the LZ-2, in Playa Honda.
The works, which began in April of last year, are close to completion. "The works are quite advanced, the pedestrian and bicycle circulation part is already finished and only the asphalt part and the structure cladding remain," explained the mayor.
"In the southern area of Playa Honda, the annexes that connect the main street with the underpass and the upper part are practically built," he continued. According to Pérez, "we were informed that it would be finished by the month of March and we see that it is going in that direction."
In addition, this Monday there were detours on the LZ-2 to be able to match the lane that connects the lower area with the town of Playa Honda. In the words of the mayor, "at first it was thought that the works would last eight months, but in the end it has been extended for almost a year because the operators found more stone than they expected at first."
