The Ministry of Health has reported one more case under study for possible monkeypox in Lanzarote, so the island currently has five suspected cases of the virus.
At the regional level, the Canary Islands has three new confirmed cases and another four under study. Therefore, since the beginning of the declaration of the health alert there are 126 diagnoses in the archipelago, of which 79 were detected in Gran Canaria, 42 in Tenerife, four in Fuerteventura and one in La Palma.
From the Ministry of Health they point out that all active cases are having mild symptoms and remain in home isolation, receiving follow-up by Primary Care.
The Ministry of Health currently maintains a total of 11 cases under study: two probable cases detected one in Gran Canaria and another in Tenerife and nine suspected, among which are the five from Lanzarote, two in Tenerife, one in Fuerteventura and one in La Palma.
