A person who had been reported missing on Wednesday afternoon in the Rincón de Aganada area, in the municipality of Haría, was located in good health after an extensive search operation coordinated by emergency services.
According to the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium, at approximately 5:00 PM, a report was received from the Haría Local Police alerting to the disappearance of a person in this enclave in the north of the island. Several units were immediately dispatched, as well as the drone unit, to begin the search efforts.
For its part, Emerlan mobilized three rapid intervention vehicles with members of the Mountain Unit, the Drone Unit, and medical personnel.
Once in the area, the emergency teams began searching different areas along with members of the Civil Guard and the Haría Local Police. Approximately an hour and a half after the search began, a member of Emerlan detected movement in an elevated and rocky area.
After accessing the location along with Local Police officers, the responders confirmed it was the missing person. As detailed by the emergency services, they were in good general condition, although they presented slight disorientation.
Subsequently, an initial assessment was carried out, and they were evacuated and brought down to a safe area. There, they were handed over to their families, while the security forces coordinated subsequent actions.
Once the operation was completed, the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) was informed of the outcome of the operation, and the deployed resources returned to their respective bases.
Personnel from Emerlan, the Lanzarote Security and Emergency Consortium, the Civil Guard, and the Haría Local Police participated in the operation.
