The Haría City Council has concluded the payment of subsidies to associations and sports entities in the municipality. Within the framework of the 2022 Municipal Subsidy Plan, the Consortium has granted 154,900 euros to about 20 associations and individual northern athletes, with the aim of financially supporting their activities, training, travel and competitions.
The mayoress of Haría, Evelia García, highlighted the City Council's effort "to allocate this item to promote the growth of the sports sector and the operation of very important associations in the municipality".
“We have worked to pay the benefits in a timely manner and we hope to facilitate the activities of each beneficiary entity or person. Sport is a growing field and we want to promote these activities, especially among the youngest, improving municipal infrastructures and granting financial aid,” García pointed out.
“We continue to bet not only on helping the sports associations and clubs of Haría, but also individual athletes who represent the municipality in competitions outside the island and who require support to cover the travel and other expenses of their activities”, the mayoress highlighted.
The entities benefiting from these subsidies have been ‘Lanzarote Raqueta Club’ (2,500 euros), Club de Lucha Unión Norte (25,000 euros), Asociación Cultural y Deportiva Haría Veteranos (1,300 euros), Club de Actividades Subacuáticas Punta Mujeres (2,500 euros), Club de Fútbol Haría Rincón de Aganada (46,000 euros), Club Baloncesto Haría la Vuelta Arriba (18,000 euros), Club Deportivo Karate Seito de Haría (10,000 euros), Club Deportivo Cresta Trail Team HTT (25,000 euros), Club de Bola Volcán de la Corona (2,800 euros), Club Deportivo Palmajar (4,000 euros), Club Deportivo ‘Entreno en Altura Norte’ (8,000 euros), Tinamala Motor Sport CD (1,200 euros) and the Club Deportivo ‘Josito Surf’ (2,900 euros).
